The Spokane community is one that I love and enjoy. I'm an advocate for Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery (www.vanessabehan.org). During my time as a volunteer certified house parent at the nursery I met so many children in our community that desperately needed their services. I truly believe they save children's lives. After seeing the need for respite care in our community my husband and I became licensed foster care respite providers. We've had a sibling group one weekend a month for over a year now and it's been an amazing experience to provide them stability, love and nuturing. They've taught us so much!
